Soundless Reverie

General Information

Soundless Reverie is a psychological visual novel with rpg elements. Taking place on an island called Capellum, story follows Alessio Tappani. Alessio is a young man who wakes up with very few memories. He now exists in a world he does not understand and must navigate the outer and inner instabilities.At its core, Soundless Reverie encapsulates the joy, pain, and absurdity of existence.

Magic

The "magic" within Capellum exists within the souls of the residents. The shape of one's soul is judged harshly, though unique devices are needed to see them.Based upon the construct of one's soul, residents of Capellum can be granted access to various types of magic or none at all.✦CURSES✦
Magic that can impact others or exist outside oneself. Curses can create invisible "pollution". Souls that bear curses are considered dangerous and lesser than. Curses were previously executed in acts known as "purging". While they are no longer persecuted, some predjudice remains.✦BLESSINGS✦
Magic that can only impact oneself. Blessings cannot create "pollution" and those with blessings are considered gifted.✦
Curses and Blessings are obtained the moment a soul forms and are not hereditary. All individuals with blessings and curses have a physical malformation that sets them aside from regular humans. Some malformations are easier to hide than others.
✦✦RITUALS✦
Rituals are often performed by those without a blessing or curse. Those that succeed known to gain curses that often harm the individual or others. Rituals can also be spontaneously created by concentrated magic pollution, causing harm to unknowing people nearby.

he / him | 21 | ISTJ-TAlessio is a practical and analytical young man, though he hides it behind a soft voice and shockingly grating remarks. After waking up without memories and a deeply damaged body, he seeks to understand the world and what happened to him. Alessio is deeply curious and often ignores warnings in pursuit of understanding.After his initial awakening, he found one willing to sponsor him in exchange for a favor to be replayed later. He resides in a messy antique shop, often feeling as if he himself is one of the antiquities.
